After years of working in media and advocacy, and drawing on my own lived experience, I saw a vital gap in our national understanding: most adults simply don’t know what grooming looks like until it’s too late.
That’s why I brought together a team of experts, including former law enforcement, lawyers, trauma informed counsellors, teachers, childcare staff and survivor advocates to create an online training and public awareness movement that’s practical, compassionate, and focuses on prevention.
No-one is better equipped to speak about CSA (child sexual abuse), than those who have been at the coal-face. In our team, we have six (6) out of the nine (9), who are survivor advocates. Each work tirelessly to advise guardians of the red flags.
The mission of Grooming Recognition, is to help parents and educators feel equipped, not overwhelmed.
Louise, and the voice of the Grooming Recognition Team, have been featured across Australian media for the last 5 years, including National conversations on Channel 7, 9 and 10 Morning shows and National and Local News. SMH, The Age, Daily Mail Australia, The Telegraph, Radio and Podcasts – where they continue to raise awareness about grooming risks in childcare, sports groups, online and the arts and entertainment industries.
